WATCH LIVE: Trump holds campaign rally in North Carolina amid racist tweets controversy President Donald Trump holds a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, July 17 amid a political storm over recent tweets in which he told four American minority congresswomen to "go back" to their countries. Trump doubled down on his remarks in the hours before the event, saying he did not regret his comments. Democrats condemned the tweets as "racist" in a resolution passed in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday. All but four Republicans voted against the measure.
