After heart disease, the second biggest killer disease in India is COPD. It kills almost 10 lakhs people every year in India and yet many of us are not aware of this disease. So, we thought we should make videos to make people aware of the deadly disease- COPD.
COPD, which stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, is a family of chronic conditions of the lungs. It includes a persistent Bronchitis and Emphysema. Detailed mechanism of the disease is explained in the video. In this first video of the COPD series, we have talked about how our lungs work and what happens in the lungs of COPD patients. We have also discussed what are the symptoms of this deadly disease.
