Parietal Lobe Stimulation - Pattern Recognition and Processing - Meditation

Parietal Lobe Stimulation - Pattern Recognition and Processing - Meditation Headphones are recommended.

Due to popular request, I have decided to upload the original audio files to my website. This allows anybody to download the original audio file used in each video before it's compressed. These are large files, and it costs money to host them on a server, so they are being sold for less than the price of a cup of coffee. If you're interested in downloading this specific audio file, and want to support me while you're at it, you can find it here: www.anthonysommer.com/store

Neural entrainment is the theory that our brains have a tendency to synchronize themselves to external stimulation, which could include auditory, visual, tactile or electromagnetic stimuli.

Auditory entrainment occurs because of the interaction of sound in the inferior colliculus, and the superior olivary complexes. Auditory information from each ear is integrated, and precipitates electrical impulses along neural pathways through the reticular formation, to the thalamus, auditory cortex, and throughout the brain.

The human brain contains approximately 80-100 billion neurons which communicate with each other to form our thoughts, emotions and behavior. When our neurons communicate in mass, it produces a synchronized electrical pulse known as a brainwave. When we use entrainment, our brainwaves can align with this external stimulus, and as a result we can stimulate our brains in ways that could positively effect our psychology and physiology.

We experience five primary brain wave ranges. They are known as Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma waves.

- Delta waves are the slowest of all and are defined as having a frequency range between 0-4 Hz. We experience these waves naturally when we are in the deepest of sleep or meditative states. These waves stimulate regeneration, and healthy neuro-chemistry and as a result are vital in the maintenance of health and psychological well-being.

Entrainment is an effective method which allows you to experience what these states feel like, and how they affect the body. Auditory entrainment typically occurs from four forms of stimuli, known as binaural, isochronic, monaural audio, and noise.

- Binaural stimulation requires the output from a left and right audio source, and the input from both ears. The two inputs combine and create a pulse modulation wave. This wave is internal, and is generated within the brain. This effect is a consequence of the interaction of different perceptions. The comparative difference in each frequency combination creates a phase difference.
