Iran’s supreme leader calls Americans 'clowns'  in first Friday prayers in eight years Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has taken Friday prayers in Tehran for the first time in eight years. He used the occasion to condemn the US and President Trump. Thousands turned out for the prayers in which Khamenei praised Iran’s retaliation to the US killing of General Qassim Soleimani.
