PAIN of importing a large amount of iPhone photos to Windows 10

PAIN of importing a large amount of iPhone photos to Windows 10 I had so much trouble transferring my iPhone photos to Windows 10.

Sometimes my phone wouldn't even get recognised, and even when it did - I would get various error messages or Export would be super slow. I also tried installing/reinstalling/disabling/re-enabling Apple Device Drivers which never worked.

To by-pass "Phone not recognised", " Device is unreachable", "0x80070141", phone not showing up in File Explorer/iTunes:

1. Disconnect iPhone - on iPhone go to "Settings" - "Photos" - Under ‘Transfer to Mac or PC’, change from" Automatic" to "Keep Originals" then back to "Automatic" (some people say for them Automatic didn't work, but "Keep Original" did). Then restarting both iPhone and PC.

For transferring photos, I tried iTunes itself, Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, XnCovert, ACD see, Fastone, Photos app, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, GDrive, Airdroind, Send Anywhere, Send it, Documents 5, Vlc, simple drag'n'drop. These worked very well, on singular files, but when tried to transfer 3k+ files, it would either crash mid-way (after waiting 10min+), or would be super slow.

The best thing that worked was actually an app which was recommended by someone on Reddit:

1. 3U Tools (just scan the .exe file with before installing it, to make sure it is clean)

It also supported HEIC/HEIF files, together with Live Photos. Which none of the other apps did. And it was fast! 3100 images/videos transferred under 5min.

Extra:
To view HEVC on windows I recommend installing
