Honey can do that?

I know that posting this video on Thursday instead of Friday is going to mess a bunch of you up, and I apologies for the disturbance in your routines, but I will be unable to post on Friday or Saturday so it had to be a day early. I know it's hard to believe, but there is no internet service where I'm headed, the Gulf of Mexico. There are no bees out there, but there are lots and lots of fish.

On this adventure, I once again have the pleasure of working with Good Time Charlie. Also with us, Charlie's son in law, John, joined in with the wrangling, and as it turned out, he was the one who spotted the queen first. He also is the one that took the bees home, and it is his first colony.

This was the first time I have removed bees in this area of Slidell, but as you will see, it was not the first time bees had occupied this floor space, and I'm hoping to visit more homes in this area as water front properties attract lots of bees due to the buildings being elevated. While we were there, a neighbor did come over to talk about bees in her home as well.

We had a lot of fun removing the bees as well as having a great time with the homeowners. They were there the entire time, but they did stay out of the garage. The bees continue to thrive in their new location about 10 miles north of the abbey, and John is looking to expand his apiary over the next few years.

You'r going to see a lot of comb on this one, and some of it is fairly large, but there was not much honey. What ever honey that was there, except the little that was given to the homeowners, went back to the bees. Until the next time, God's peace to all. Mr. Ed
