Ole Miss student Ally Kostial shot 8 times in apparent homicide A University of Mississippi sorority sister who was found dead on a routine police patrol was shot eight times, according to authorities who revealed new, disturbing details about her death.  “It is apparent that foul play was involved,” a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said of Alexandria “Ally” Kostial, 21, whose body was discovered Saturday morning near Sardis Lake, around 20 miles from the Ole Miss campus in Oxford, news station WLBT reported. see also Ole Miss student found dead near lake 20 miles from campus A 21-year-old sorority sister at the University of Mississippi was...  Surveillance footage reportedly showed Kostial on Friday night stopping at the door of an Oxford Square bar, though she didn’t go inside.  Her roommates said she returned home around midnight but left their house again at some point.  It’s unclear how the student ended up in Buford’s Ridge, a remote area with a fishing camp where she was found dead.  Her father, Keith Kostial, said authorities told him her death was a homicide.  “We were visited by the Sunset Hills MO Police who communicated to us that our beautiful dear Alexandria (Ally) Kostial was the victim of a homicide,” her father wrote Sunday in a Facebook post. “As of now, it is believed the crime happened in Lafayette County, MS.”  He said his daughter was on campus this summer teaching fitness classes and taking courses. She was getting a bachelor’s degree in marketing and expected to graduate next year.  Her sorority sisters in the university’s Alpha Phi chapter paid tribute to her on social media.  “She was the brightest light and always had a smile on her face. She truly was a ray of sunshine,” sorority sister Kassidy Desnoyer wrote on Facebook.
