Huge Snow Moat on North Timpanogos

Huge Snow Moat on North Timpanogos We were back country skiing on July 20, 2019 and found this huge and deep snow moat near the top of a large snowfield. This is why the experts keep telling average hikers to avoid hiking Timpanogos right now because there are still large amounts of melting snow that can leave dangerous moats, hidden tunnels, etc that can be very dangerous. If you slid from above and fell into this huge moat you would likely be killed. Probably at least a 30 foot drop to the bottom. Use extreme caution when venturing into the mountains and there is still snow. We hiked on the rocks at the side of this large snowfield and I skied over to take a look at this moat from the side/below. Be careful out there! More videos to come. I have been busy but I have a lot of great footage to share!
