We lean on what we know and in times of fear and change we have a tendency to trust what we’ve known no matter just how toxic and unhealthy it is for us... or even how much it may hurt others. We see this happening as these freed slaves leave the land they’ve known all their lives in order to follow God into the wilderness. What we see in the creation of the golden calf is this lack of trust they had in God... and the tendency to go back to the toxic that we know... even though it hurts us... and God.
Join us this Sabbath as we embrace the changes we all go through and together embrace the healthy yet often foreign joy of serving one another in communion and foot washing.
