A Chinese-Canadian company is showing a trash can that seals and changes the trash bags automatically at the CES technology show in Las Vegas.

The Townnew trash can is now available in the US, for all those people that never want to tie a trash bag ever again.

STORY-LINE

The products and platforms shown at technology shows like CES can sometimes be extremely complex.

And at other times they provide a simple solution for everyday problems.

This trash can from the Canadian company Townnew is definitely a part of the latter category.

When you press the button at the front for three seconds, the can will automatically seal the bag.

When you take out the bag and the can lid closes, the can automatically puts in a new bag.

The can is available in the US for 109 dollars.

The refill rings, that include 25 bags, are available with standard plastic and an environmentally friendly version that is made out of biodegradable material.

The standard refill rings cost 17.95 dollars for a pack of three. The biodegradable rings cost 26.95 for a pack of three.

CES, formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, started Sunday 5th January in Las Vegas with two days of media previews.

The show floor opens Tuesday through Friday.
