644 cadres of 8 militant groups surrender in Assam’s Guwahati

Guwahati (Assam), Jan 23 (ANI): 644 cadres of eight militant groups of Assam, surrendered at the Arms Laying Down Ceremony in Guwahati on January 23. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was present in the event. Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, “Total number of 177 weapons being laid down. And these people (who surrendered) are going to be helped for their rehabilitation.”
