Works gospel stumbles believers

Works gospel stumbles believers An updated version of the earlier video. Our Lord Jesus describes Himself as the stumbling stone set up in Zion (Rom 9).
He also describes Balaam as the one who taught Balak the Moabite king to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel. Read Numbers 22 onwards.

The church in Pergamos has those who are teaching what Balaam taught. They are laying a stumbling stone before believers. What is the stumbling stone?

If we follow the presentation in Rom 9-10 when speaking of Israel's folly, Paul says they try to establish a righteousness of their own. Thus they stumble.

Jesus Christ is in everyone's path. You either stumble on Him through your attempts at righteousness or trust in Him and at saved.
