KVK, KARGIL OBSERVED FARMER'S DAY 2019

Krishi Vigyan Kendra organised Farmer's Day 2019 at SKUAST, Kargil.

On the occasion, Executive Councillor for Agriculture and Health, Mohd Ali Chandan was Chief Guest.

The theme of the program was enhancing small scale agriculture towards Agri - business development.

On the occasion, Dr Mehdi Akhone presents a power presentation and highlights the potentials and scopes of small scale agriculture in Kargil.

Dr Mehdi Akhone further said that 30 varieties of organic food is registered at National level & they will also get certificates soon.

More than 150 Farmers from different villages witnessed the program.

While speaking on occasion EC, Agriculture & Health Ali Chandan focuses on the importance of Agriculture & said that Agriculture is the back bone of the economy.

It is pertinent to mention here that this day is celebrated to promote awareness among the citizens of the country to understand the importance of the contribution of the farmers to the society and overall economic and social development of the country.
