Pondering the Meaning to Sheryl Crow's 'Soak Up The Sun' Song

Pondering the Meaning to Sheryl Crow's 'Soak Up The Sun' Song I thought to look up what Sheryl Crow's song "Soak Up The Sun" online to read more about the meaning of the song. The title basically told me that the song is about enjoying the sunshine and I get the "deeper meaning" of this being about enjoying the good days in life - something like that. However I've wondered if the song may be somewhat sarcastic as the lyrics are critical but it seems that despite the singer's lamentations, she is "gonna soak up the sun/gonna to tell everyone to lighten up". By having "no one to blame" does she conclude that her not having "diddly-squat" or having a "crummy job" that "don't pay near enough" all her fault? Or what about the "fancy ride" that her intended hearer (boyfriend, husband, roommate or whatever) but she being the one who "has the keys". There is obvious some form of disconnect between her and her hearer as they don't see eye to eye as when she is looking up, he is looking down.
One thing I didn't expect to find the "Got a 45 on so I can rock on" having such a dark and sinister connotation. I thought 45 rpm record. Another thought the lyric as a reference to Billy Joel's "Keeping the Faith" where he says he is going to listen to his 45s, while another thought it to be a reference to sunscreen with 45 strength protection, still another thought about a guitar. The reference - according to what I read in Songfacts, has to do with the Columbine shooting which was somewhat recent at the time. It's about her getting even with those who treated her like an outcast. Not exactly anything I ever gleaned from listening to this upbeat song.
