'If Centre serious on CAB, make it a state subject': Meghalaya Minister AL Hek

With apprehensions surrounding another concerted effort by the centre to pass the Citizenship Amendment Bill escalating in the North East, BJP leader from Meghalaya and Cabinet Minister AL Hek on Wednesday said that if the central government wants to introduce CAB, it should be made a state subject.
Talking to newsmen, Hek said that he has always maintained that if the centre is serious about CAB, then it should be made a state subject.
