How to use Brave Browser and earn BAT tokens?

What is Brave browser?

The browser blocks ads and website trackers. The company has proposed adopting a Get paid to surf business model in a future version of the browser.

As of 2019, Brave has been released for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. The current version features five search engines by default, including their partner, DuckDuckGo

Brave uses its Basic Attention Token / BAT to drive revenue. Originally incorporated in Delaware as Hyperware Labs, Inc in 2015, they later changed their name to Brave Software, Inc. and registered in California, where the company is headquartered.



Basic Attention Token / BAT:
BAT or Basic Attention Token is kind of advertising token which is built on the Ethereum blockchain. The purpose of the BAT is to create an adverstment exchange marketplace which will connect the advertisers, publishers and users.



How to earn BAT?
You can earn BAT in few ways:
1. By using Brave browser and watching ADS
2. You will get some free BAT tokens after instaling Brave and using it for at least 1 month
3. If you have website, blog, youtube channel, twitch channel, twitter account, github account, ... you can earn BAT tokens when users are visiting your Channel or even user can send you tip in BAT if they found your Channel useful.


How to create a Channel?
1. Login / sign up to: each time login link will be sent to your email
2. You can stay loggen in for 30 if you are using Brave browser. You'll need to go to Settings - Account Settings and select Keep my login active for 30 days
3. Click on + Add Channel
4. Select Channel type
5. Follow steps, for website you'll need to verify domain
6. Enter .well-known folder in your website public directory, if folder do't exists you can create new folder
7. Create file named like shown and add content shown
8. Verify and you're done :)
9. Now go to your website / channel and check is your channel Verified (it can take up to 24 hours to show correct status)
10. Now your visitors can send you tips in BAT or you will receive BAT when user watch ads on your channel.
