How to Trick Yourself Into Avoiding Time Wasting Apps We all waste time on apps and feel very bad after. The apps are designed to grab your attention and keep it.

This video is an example of a really simple idea I'm using to avoid overusing apps that I don't want to delete but also don't want to use to much.

By adding an extra layer of uncomfortable friction via needing to swipe right excessively, you create a mental opening to just say "nevermind" and resist the unconscious urge to open the app and waste your time.
