British authorities declare London Bridge stabbing a 'terrorist incident,' confirm suspect killed

Assistant Commissioner for counter-terrorism Neil Basu said British authorities have now declared the stabbing near London Bridge in central London as a "terrorist incident," and confirmed the device strapped on the suspect's body was a hoax explosive device.

British police said officers shot and killed a man near London Bridge after multiple people were stabbed.

“A number of people” have been injured, police said, though it was not immediately clear how many. The severity of their injuries are also not known.
