The Cobbler Hike, Scotland: Two Attempts over Two Days

The Cobbler Hike, Scotland: Two Attempts over Two Days While in the UK for my wedding, I was fortunate enough to do "The Cobbler" climb up to Ben Arthur in Scotland near Arrochar. We did not have enough time on day one to complete it, so my brother and I went up the following day and were able to make it over the top pass.

Very rugged climb with spectacular scenery all the way up and down. Clouds obscured our views from the top on day 2, but then cleared off later on in the day, so at least we could see where we had gone.

Surprisingly, it did not rain a drop on either day, even though it was forecast.

It's all uphill with very little relief on the way up, but well worth the effort. I wish we could have stayed another month and climbed several more... you couldn't count how many climbs similar to this there are within an hours drive.

I didn't have any music to add to this one, but I'm working on the Mandolin skills almost daily ;)
