The transfer of NRC coordinator Prateek Hajela has evoked sharp responses from the political bigwigs in Assam. Hajela's transfer in the wake of things remaining unsettled over the 1600 crore rupees worth NRC exercise has raised questions.
Commenting on this matter, Assam BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass said that the step to transfer Hajela is not right when issues regarding the expenses of the NRC is not yet resolved.
Also speaking on the issue was AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal. The AIUDF supremo stated that it is not right to transfer Hajela from the state when works regarding the NRC is not final yet.
