In this video I explain what trail braking is and I show you trail braking from two different angles on my bike. If you haven't already, check out Champschool.com and I highly recommend taking Yamaha Champions Riding School regardless of your current skill or understanding to learn what's possible with the right techniques. I also recommend Total Control's Advanced Riding Clinic at totalcontroltraining.net. For any blind corner or unfamiliar road, it's a good idea to have the brake light on as you tip and in and keep it on until you can see the exit just incase you have to make an adjustment mid-turn. The benefits are less rake and trail, more contact patch, more grip, easier to turn in, favorable geometry, can change speed or direction instantly, can tighten your turn by adding pressure, etc. For more information read Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch and Total Control, 2nd Edition by Lee Parks.
