Ingredients:
350 grams. Chauli (chopped in pcs washed)
3 onions roughly chopped
3 to 4 green chillis chopped
1/4 tsp. Haldi powder
1 tbsp. Cooking oil for tempering
1 tsp. Rai (mustard seeds)
1 tbsp. Urad dal
6 to 8 curry leaves
1 dry red chilli
Salt as per taste
1 glass water
Preparation:
Today we are going to prepare chauli ke sabji (long bean ke sabji) chopped & washed.
In a nonstick pan transfer 350 gram chopped & washed chauli. (Can cut with knife or break with hands). Add 1 glass water, and add salt less the required (can add later). 1/4 tsp. Haldi powder and mix it & add 3 roughly chopped onions & 4 chopped green chillis, cover and cook the vegetable for approx 15 mins. On medium flame. (Check in between).
After 15 mins. Check it, and its cooked . Now add 1 cup shredded fresh coconut and give it a mix..(onions, coconut and green chillis can be added more or less)
After mixing g the vegetable properly cover the lid and cook for a min.,to get the coconut cooked well with vegetable & gets mixed well. After a min., let's check and our sabji is almost ready. Now we need to fry the sabji without lid, also add 1/4 tsp. Sugar (its optional) , now fry the sabji on a.high flame flame, so that the water in the sabji gets dried for about 2 minutes and our sabji is properly cooked and is ready .
Let's do the tempering...
Add 1 tbsp. Cooking oil in tempering pan, as it's hot add 1tsp. Rai, as it splutters add 1 tbsp. Urad dal mix it, as it changes the color add 6 to 8 curry leaves and 1 dry red chilli, and 1/4 tsp. Hing, stir for a second and spread the tempering on the sabji and cover for a second. Our chauli ke sabji is ready. Sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve
