কোটি কোটি টাকাসহ ধরা পড়লো যুবলীগের নেতা জি কে শামীম || Bookshop in gulshan

রাজধানীর সবুজবাগ, বাসাবো, মতিঝিলসহ বিভিন্ন এলাকায় প্রভাবশালী ঠিকাদার হিসেবে পরিচিত যুবলীগ নেতা এস এম গোলাম কিবরিয়া শামীম ওরফে জি কে শামীমকে শুক্রবার দুপুরে আটক করে র‌্যাব। ভোর ৬টা থেকে সাদা পোশাকে শুরু হয় র‍্যাবের এই অভিযান। বিকেল সাড়ে ৪টায় অভিযান শেষে শামীমসহ ৮ জনকে আটক করার বিষয় জানিয়েছে র‍্যাব।

অভিযান শেষে শামীমের নিকেতনের কার্যালয়ে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে র‍্যাবের পরিচালক (আইন ও গণমাধ্যম) লে. কর্নেল সারোয়ার বিন কাশেম বলেন, অভিযান ১ কোটি ৮০ লাখ নগদ টাকা উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। ১৬৫ কোটি টাকার ওপরে এফডিআর (স্থায়ী আমানত) পেয়েছি। এর মধ্যে তার মায়ের নামে ১৪০ কোটি টাকা ও ২৫ কোটি টাকা তার নামে। এ ছাড়া তার কাছ থেকে মার্কিন ডলার, মাদক ও আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র পাওয়া গেছে। এগুলোর লাইসেন্সের সত্যতা আমরা যাচাই করব। এর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে আমরা আটজনকে গ্রেফতার দেখিয়েছি।
