More than a hundred different types of monkeys live around the world and they come in various shapes, sizes and colors and very intelligent as humans. Monkeys eat different kinds of foods including eating nuts, fruits, seeds flowers, and some eats meats.

Most monkeys live in trees, but some live in savannas and/or mountain areas. Groups of monkeys called missions, tribes, troops or cartloads. A troop will work together to take care of the young monkeys in the group. They like to play, cuddle and protect each other. The strongest and largest of the male monkeys is the leader of the troops.

Baby monkeys are cared for by their mother and/or both parents. Many times, a young monkey ride on its mother’s back or hangs from her neck.
