Solar Tile from Hanergy. Affordable and Impressive

This impressive solar tile roof product was launched by Hanergy in 2018. And it is affordable, too. For a normal house, a 80 m2 roof (about 8 kWp) costs about USD12,000 (or RM50,000).

This works out to an installation cost per kW peak of USD1,500 per kWp (or RM6,250 per kWp) incl. inverter and grid-connection. This price is in the same ball park as normal solar PV installations. Except with the solar tile, you save the cost of the ordinary roof tiles.

The above prices were obtained from Hanergy (Malaysia) on meeting with them on 1 Aug 2019 at our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Conclusion: The future is solar. And the future is finally here..... :-)
