I'm back babyyyyyyyyy! And bringing the heat with a collaboration mix with SuperiorSnivys as an entry to the recent Pokémon Summer Megamix ( -- and it's a remix of Alola's very own Vast Poni Canyon! Let's get wild, everybody! ______________________________________
Hey everyone! Finally we're (roughly) back to resuming regular programming. This year has been pretty darn busy with uni and stuff so I'm comin' at ya with the fourth upload of the year in double as many months! This was a really fun mix to work on for the Summer Megamix, and with Snivys approaching me to work on this with him, it really kick my ass into gear to finally get back on track with remixing!
Snivys came to me with the idea to remix this particular theme in the same vein as my Reversal Mountain remix 'Feel the Heat', the inspiration of which you can probably hear throughout this track. He came ready with a draft and a bunch of stems, and the process just kept unfolding from there! I also was really inspired by Yasutaka Nakata's work for this mix, particularly Perfume's 'Miracle Worker' and the recent 'AIAIAI' by Virtual YouTuber, Kizuna Ai, evidenced by some of the instrumentation and sound design, drops, as well as general structure.
This was a really fun mix to work on! SuperiorSnivys is a relatively new remixer in the community, but what he lacks in experience, he more than makes up for with passion, and you should definitely head on over to SuperiorSnivys' channel to show 'em some love:
