I will be carrying out your surgery today. The procedure is straight forward and you have nothing to worry about, you are in safe hands. Me and my medical team are here to look after you, help you, comfort you and make sure everything runs smoothly. I need to start off by asking you some simple questions then i will need to check your obs. I personally will be putting you under general anaesthesia too. Please pop on the gown and get yourself comfortable on the bed. Everything is going to be fine, i promise.

What is ASMR?
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is an experience characterised by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
