Porvorim MLA, Rohan Khaunte has informed that many there are students who drop out from 8th to 10th Std and from 11th to 12th Std. He has requested the Government to put some sort of mechanism in place to find out the exact dropout rate. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated that Government is in the process of implementing aptitude test for 8th as well as 10th STD students to find out the dropout rate.
Meanwhile, replying to Shiroda MLA Subhash Shirodkar’s suggestion of appointing separate career guidance teachers for students, CM Sawant has informed that school teachers will be given training in career guidance and counseling to help students
