Gina Miller is 'frustrating' Brexit says Nigel Farage

Gina Miller is 'frustrating' Brexit says Nigel Farage Gina Miller today revealed she'd instructed her legal team to write a letter to Boris Johnson which asked him to provide notice, should he become Prime Minister, if he plans to suspend Parliament and push through a no deal Brexit.

Nigel Farage responded to Ms Miller’s plan, claiming it is difficult to believe “in practice” that Mr Johnson would prorogue Parliament.

Speaking on his LBC radio show, Mr Farage began: “Gina Miller, remember her, yes of course and she’s done her best in every way to frustrate Brexit.

“Now one of the things that Boris Johnson is saying that’s upset her is that he will not rule out the idea of proroguing Parliament, suspending Parliament.

“Now Sir John Major got frightfully upset about the last week and said that he would go to law to stop Johnson from doing it.

“This from John Major who himself prorogued Parliament back in 1997 to stop very unfortunate revelations about cash for access from Conservative MPs.

“Ms Gina Miller has written a letter to Boris Johnson and it’s along similar lines and she spoke just before I came on air to Andrew Pierce.”

Mr Farage then played a recording of Ms Miller speaking to LBC earlier on Sunday, in which she referred to the letter: “It said should he become Prime Minister and pursue a prorogation process, that we are ready to go to court.

“Because we believe based on the judgement in my original case, according to the Supreme Court judgement, that a Prime Minister cannot shut down or close the doors of Parliament and to bypass our representative to push through a decision without scrutiny basically.”

Mr Farage then remarked: “I have to say, all this talk of proroguing Parliament, I do actually find it difficult to think that if Boris wins, which he probably will, that he would actually do that and kind of get away with it.

“I just don’t, and I keep asking people from legal backgrounds, constitutionally, is it right that Boris could simply prorogue Parliament and we leave on October 31?
