The former director of national intelligence for Barack Obama said Sunday morning that the former president never indicated he wanted to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.James Clapper was responding on CNN's State of the Union to Donald Trump's claims that Obama begged to meet with Kim while he was still president.'In all the deliberations that I participated in on North Korea during the Obama administration, I can recall no instance whatever where President Obama ever indicated any interest whatsoever in meeting with Chairman Kim,' Clapper told CNN on Sunday morning.'I just – that's news to me,' the former intelligence director continued through snickers.
