Transparency and Directness are two of the most critical skills you can utilize in business.

Why? More like, why not??

Ultimately, when you are transparent, and direct with your clients, your candidates or anyone you're dealing with in recruiting, everything just goes better! There's nothing you're hiding, there's nothing under the rug or in the closet and people respect that!

Think about it. Who do you like dealing with? Honest, direct, transparent and straight forward people! Whether it's your friends, family, a business, or any other interaction, we always value those who are direct with us and give it to us straight.

This is human psychology! Studies have shown over and over again that some of the most successful people in the world, don't waste a single moment by not saying exactly what's on their mind and communicating in an extremely direct and hyper-transparent manner.

Diving deeper, let's say you have a client that wants candidates with a billion different skills that are simply unrealistic and don't exist. The best approach to this is to explain to that client that they're not going to be able to obtain that sort of client FLAT OUT. Rather than try to tell them you "might" be able to get the candidates, just let them know up front! They'll respect you more and they'll understand and change their perspective to properly work with you.

Being direct doesn't just pay off with clients, it pays off when you're dealing with candidates. When you talk to candidates that aren't up to snuff, or they're being a bit wishy washy on the position etc, you need to be prepared to CALL THEM OUT, this is being hyper transparent and just letting someone know they're not a fit, or they need certain skills to get the position.

It simply PAYS better to be hyper transparent and open about anything and everything in your business when it comes to getting to the point. Anything else, is going to just cost you time, and equally money. Who wants that? NOBODY...that's who.

Be transparent, be open, be direct, have radical candor with people you do business with. You'll be respected, impactful and successful.
