Spiderman Theory: Far From Home's Unexpected Elemental Twist

Marvel’s Spiderman: Far From Home is set to be the first release post-Avengers: End Game. As you may already know, Marvel has been releasing their movies in Phases, with Phase 3 being the entire Infinity War storyline against Thanos. Many are predicting, and with good reason, that Phase 3 comes to a close with the culmination of End Game, and that Far From Home will act as the very first release of Phase 4. This means Far From Home will act as a springboard to introduce valuable new characters and plant seeds for long-lasting story arcs that may develop throughout the next several years of Marvel releases.

The trailers for Far From Home let us know that Peter Parker is taking a summer trip with his friends, only to be interrupted by Nick Fury. He then has to save the day and fight a bunch of bad guys. Okay, so how will this Spiderman movie kickstart a whole arc of stories that are supposed to incorporate a bevy of different characters? Well, it likely all starts with Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal in the movie. If you’re familiar with the Spiderman comics, then you know the character Mysterio as one of Spidey’s biggest rivals. However, according to all the Far From Home movie trailers we’ve seen so far, it appears as though they’ll actually be working together. It’s odd to see a notable villain being portrayed as a hero, but it will likely all make sense by the end of the movie.

It will also introduce us to The Elementals, a group of nature-controlling villains. There have already been a number of hints and clues to give us a bit of insight about what’s to come in Far From Home. From subtle Easter Eggs hidden throughout the trailer to an accidental leak from Lego, we’ll take a look at what sort of info we can uncover and make sense of.
