Black Geez Is Back Is Back To Claim His Spot In The Burgeoning Rochester Hip-Hop Scene Rochester, New York, April 1st, 2019 - Upstate New York recording artist Black Geez has been given a second chance and he doesn’t plan on wasting it. Born Raheen Gayden, Geez was convicted of a fatal shooting in 2006 and sentence to life in prison. However, he maintained his innocence for the 9 years he served and in 2015 his murder charge was reversed. Having already established himself as one of the hardest rappers to ever come out of Rochester, New York, he got right back to it.





Geez was a Silver Gloves boxing champ that earned the nickname “Concrete Knuckles” as a young man. This alias and reputation would carry with him into his rap career, and he even named his first release after his boxing moniker. He went on to drop three more projects before being incarcerated, and was well on his way to gaining national attention.





So, when Geez was freed in 2015, he got to recording and dropping Resurrection straightaway. In 2017 he followed that up with Real Talk True Story, the majority of which was produced by rising star Eto, as well as having two features from The King of Upstate, 38 Spesh. And that brings us to present and the LP that will finally garner Black Geez the recognition he deserves, Concrete Struggle. This offering is fully produced by 38 Spesh and will drop on his label, TCF Music Group, on May 3. If it isn’t immediately apparent, the title alludes to both Geez’ pugilist past and his undeserved jail time. Never has the overused colloquialism “the struggle is real!!
